I took this one the other day on the Blue Ridge Parkway. I am going to make it into a poster and have it matted with my old Carrera emblem. I think it should make a lovely addition to the family room wall :)

Powder coated tubs are pretty cool, but I have to ask. How do you repair powder coating after a shunt?

Like any baked enamel, you sand the damaged (chipped) area and build it up and blend the pain to match. When they attached the glass flares, they bonded & blended, you couldn't tell where the powder ended & paint started. I'm trying to find the pictures of the finished car to show it.

Cool, I've seen the "blue titanium tools. They look cool, but I'm wondering what's the point besides the huge price tag and the pretty color.

Obviously someone knows you well, but doesn't know squat about wrenching on a 911. Great gesture, though, and it sure beats other corporate gift and swag.

The "blue titanium" was just another bath in the plating process, doesn't really do anything for the sockets. The laser etching was pretty cool to see though.

It was also interesting to find that most brands of sockets are all made on the same machine, same materials, same process, just different name stamps at the end. Craftsman, Kobalt, Proto, Matco......all the same....
