dunno what yours is
the digits on mine were positioned as they would normally be on a regular 911, horizontal with the clock in normal position ( not rotated ) which i believe is how they were delivered by Porsche, could be wrong , and maybe there were different variants of the Sports Tach, but i believe Porsche only delivered them in normal format, even on the RSR's
maybe yours was remanufactured and had the face repainted that way, i really can't say ...

It looks like his says "VDO" in pretty big letters on what would be the left side if it was oriented upright. I'm wondering if it's aftermarket.
