I would say that the HAND OF GOD stopped that piston.
I would toss the crank and all of the rods out in the trash as a sacrifice to prevent this from ever occurring once more

Saab 900 engine. rod bearing was starved of oil, rod cap walked around the crank. Oddly enough, NO piston or head damage.
I had to cut off part of the rod with a welder to get it out of the block. It was made an offering in the shop. |
