It looks like a Harmon Rocket, based on the RV series (uses a lot of RV parts).

The helo in the pic is a Kaman K-MAX. I got to meet Charles Kaman years ago when I did some flight test on the SH-2G. Aviation pioneer.

You gotta get hazardous duty pay for hauling cement! although weight is weight but it sure sounds heavier.

Yep it's a K-MAX. They get alot of duty doing ski lift work in the summer along with fight forest fires..

Another K-MAX doing lift instal work at Arapahoe Basin, CO this summer. Might be the same equipment. ???

Yes.
The pilot came in fast with a bank-and-land approach. The engine was popping a bit, so I thought, 'he must have a problem he needs to check out'.

Nope. He shut it down just long enough for the passenger to get out.
Fired it up and away he went.... still popping.

Heck, I get nervous if the engine doesn't purr like a contented kitty. I doubt I would be flying behind one that is popping. I guess you get used to it though. lol

It could be a Harmon. I had never heard of the Harmon, but Google found the Harmon website which says that they are based on the RV-4 (as mentioned above).

Took this while standing on the deck having a cup of morning joe...you could hear the cows, but it was maybe another hour before I could actually see the cows. Guess they aren't called Great Smoky Mtns for nothing! Pictures are left to right of the Servierville Valley Tennessee. Just an awsome place and the trout fishin was spectacular! The other side of the cabin looked into SC & GA. Almost felt like a treehouse, perched right on top of the mountain.

Bard and Banker pub, Victoria. Happiness is excellent selection of beer. They had a half-dozen or so locals (within 2 miles), as well as another dozen or so locals (just from the island).
