This lake serves as the drinking water resource for a couple different communities. A major almost instant die off of native fish species has me a little concerned. The waters near the shore were full of them as well, all totally dead.


Here's hoping there is a natural explanation for it......

Pretty early in the season up here for that, but it makes sense. Very intense agriculture around here, lots of phosphates make it into the lake leading to excess algae growth. Not really natural causes........
