- great shot
- beautiful ironwork
- why extra lane in your direction?
- great Porsche content
- is that an upshift light, and if so can it be disabled? That would drive me nuts!

-Thanks.
-Isn't it? Concrete guardrails on east end are too. 1926 cast in the abutment.
-Not sure. No traffic on this road.
-Therapy machine.
-Upshift light that illuminates at about 1200 rpm. I don't notice it until I snap a picture!

Yes, you can just remove the bulb from the back side of the tach.

Official name is "CASIS". Computer aided shift something or something like that. It was added to help bypass the gas guzzler tax. I've read about some folks putting a piece of black electrical tape over it. I hardly ever noticed it when I had mine. It's a fuel economy thing more than anything else, so it comes on at VERY low RPMS if you are going easy on the throttle. If you are at full throttle, it comes on at redline.

The funny thing is that in the owner's manual for my old '88, there was a section that discussed minimum shift points. Starting with the 1-2 shift, I think it was something like 2600, 2500, 2300, 2100 or something like that. The light comes on much, much earlier. I don't think anyone really pays attention to the light, at least, I hope not. The best way to defeat is is just driving at full throttle all of the time :D ;)

Desert from lunch today. Place is supposed to be Indian street/home style food from the Mumbai area. I've not been to India, and if I did, as much as I might want to try some street food, I'm crazy, but not stupid. So I don't know how authentic the place is, but it's extremely tasty.

They call it Besan, I think I've seen it called Besan Burfi, Besan Ki Burfi or sometimes spelled with an "A" in Burfi. Maybe that's if you actually did buy it on the street in India.

I'm pretty sure it's a fuel economy thing from back when the govt was pushing for better fuel economy. Probably emissions too.

Wow - that would send me straight to North Hollywood Speedometer!

From 2005 - happened somewhat serendipitously:
