Great wave shot Dave. Bucket list location to be sure.
Messing around with night time photography in the Angeles Forest last weekend as the marine layer was building: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1427250610.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1427250648.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1427250681.jpg Photos lose some sharpness in the upload, but it was interesting to watch the layer ebb and shift across the sky. |
^^ Great pic, Scott! My Mom's Amaryllis are all in bloom as well. I don't have any at my place - on purpose! I worked at a nursery shortly after graduating that was the largest Amaryllis propagator in N. America. Guess I got my quota of Amaryllis while there.
Golden Goddess Bamboo at a job....... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1427251041.jpg Yellow Tabebuia in my Mom's neighborhood..... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1427251140.jpg |

May I ask what f-stop, shutter speed and ISO you use in such situations? Simply gorgeous. -Z |
Thank you!
I'll get the info for you when I get home later. I can tell you it was bracketed with either 5 or 7 shots. It's HDR. ISO 200, either f11 or f16. The shutter was chosen based on the internal meter of which I don't remember off the top of my head. The camera chose the shutter speeds for the bracketed shots around it. Camera on tripod, using a cable release to trigger the shutter, camera was set to continuous high. Nikon D300. EDIT: ISO 400, main pic was a 6th of a second, f16. |
Thanks Dave! Never would have guessed those were your settings. But wow - the result speaks for itself...
