OK scanned, not taken - but as this book is on my shelf, and nuclear explosives are kind of my day job...

Maintenance on the steam turban would be quite a "hot" job in more ways than one.

Random but related? Tinian Island, June 1967.

A friend dove off of Tinian and found lots of "interesting" relics from summer 1945. At the end of the war they were supposed to take the extra bomb parts far offshore to dispose in deep water. Evidently it was a case of "you can go home when you finish one last job". Yup - they pretty much pushed them into the surf at the end of the runway.

He got paid for that. I get paid to do Powerpoint...

You think some people have a beef with fracking - How about this? (last book cartoon I promise)

Project Gnome aftermath.

I read somewhere they thought of using this technique to excavate a new, bigger Panama Canal.
