Alligator gar...saw a bit that they are now being planted in the hopes of controlling the Asian carp invasion. Evidently the only predator fish that considers this carp to be yummy.

Yeah, it was probably a little too far south an on the wrong coast for an Alligator Gar. However there are smaller native species of gar in that region.
