One of the machine shops at Thomas Edison's West Orange, NJ factory, looking pretty much as it did back in the day. Belt-drive system was powered by a single electric motor nearly the size of a 55gal drum. This was the late 1800s...long before OSHA came on the scene. The noise level in here must've been off the charts.

Location: Placerville, CA.... You know, the only place on Highway 50 between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe the you find signal lights. Above the fog most of the time and I can see the stars of the Milky Way 8 out of 10 nights. Kinda cool.....

Coast Guard towing capsized boat into the Depoe Bay Harbor
September 8, 2017
I didn't know at the time that 2 men had not survived the capsizing. ![]() Wife and I were in a small Mexican restaurant just South of the bridge in town and noticed some commotion. I walked out and caught the scene. We realized later the Coast Guard helicopter we saw earlier was on a recovery mission.

Thanks Baz! You bet I will. My dad got excited when I sent him the shots I took the previous day. He REALLY wanted to see it in person. So that was special to me so I made the arrangements. Guess this baby is one of only seven still flying in the world. ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
