This photo was taken by a soldier in Afghanistan of a helo rescue mission. The pilot is a PA Guard guy who flies EMS choppers in civilian life. Now how many people on the planet you reckon could set the ass end of a chopper down on the roof top of a shack on a steep mountain cliff a nd hold it there while soldiers load wounded men in the rear??? If this does not impress you ... nothing ever will.

that one doesn't look right to me

for one thing, them trees and them blades
how can the pilot prevent hitting trees, it already looks like the blades come real close in the rear

for another thing, shadows , they are some on the roof of the shack, and they seem to poitn straight down which makes sense for that geographic location
but nothing in front of the shack, where most of the bird is hanging...

i'm inclinde to call that a product of photoshop, chopper pic taken on normal tarmac. then pic of some mountan bungalow, 2 hours of fiddling , some filters, done

If it was shot with a telephoto those trees framing the shot could be a long was from the shack.

Like in this shot, the plants on the ground are farther if front of the trees that it looks.

did some googling , apparently it's a real one

If you zoom in on this the helecopter pixalates before the background. - just checked the snoops pic and that is much clearer.

Sea rescues from ships in force 8-9 winds with 50ft waves have been done - thats really impressive!
