Stumbled upon the pic the other day. I remember the day like it was yesterday, July 2001, we had to get moving to go meet some family so we did not go up on the roof, I promised my son we would go up on the roof next year.

I bought this little caddy today. Wasn't sure what i would use it for - just knew something like this would come in handy.
Got home and went to spray paint one of my Cabbage Palm Tiki's and right away the new caddy found a purpose.... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1533774388.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1533774388.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1533774388.JPG I'm not diggin' the paint job so will do over again. At this point just experimenting..... |
We went to lovely Jetty Isle today, free big arse boat ride thanks to the Everett Parks department and the Port of Everwett.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1533776449.jpg Jetty Island started out as a Riprap isle to help direct the mighty Snohomish river over 100 years ago (Nobody liked Rap back then). More dredging's been done and added to it over the decades and it's now 2 miles long. Barges were sunk in the mid 40's to help define and direct the flow as well. Kinda like this http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1533776709.jpg Since there was a minus 1.5' tide today at 9am we were on the first big arse boat at 10am. My loving wife and I were about the first off, across the isle we went and turned North toward the 70+ year old barge bits. It looked like this when she stepped in front of me, we had left all the other passengers in our dust (sand and muck really). Had the place to ourselves http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1533777108.jpg Andy! I found your float, left it here http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1533777292.jpg Barges http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1533777358.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1533777426.jpg |

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1533777539.jpg The strangest motor I've every seen on a boat, a duck boat... must be a duck boat motor... it did not seem to want to go out of gear as the captain of zee duck boat rammed it into the dock. Maybe that's how duck boats work, I'm no expert. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1533777572.jpg Big arse boat that took us to and fro (Behind my wife, her's is really perfectly sized) http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1533777782.jpg Mid week adventures are fantastic! This place is less than a half hour away, free, 3 miles total of beautiful beach walking all in a 3 hour getaway. I'm getting good at this retirement thing. |
I really hope they parked beside me like this because they had an important crap to take. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1533778820.jpg
