That area is so sublime, 1800' gain and 3.5 mils puts you where you are surrounded by 7 to 9K glaciated peaks with names such as Sahale, Eldorado, Forbidden, The Triad, Mt Formidable, Storm king and so on.
Pretty easy access and glorious views of a Mountain climber's heaven, spring time is very entertaining, avalanches booming and echoing through the valley makes you stop and look. Decidedly NOT climbing season.

This visit was late summer, wildfire smoke and haze cut the views way back

Something you are working through Byron?

My wife had increasing issues from Afib a couple years back... at times we had to find a place for her to lay down when we were out walking... hers would always stop within a minute of being horizontal.

We are very lucky, hers was cured by inserting instruments into her heart, triggering the Afib and pinpointing the nerve that was misfiring then cauterizing it, after that they couldn't trigger any events and after a couple weeks of healing she was good as new- zero events for 2 years now.

Hope yours is curable too!!

Practicing until they get it right

Sunrise camping permit run July 2013, it's about 90 minutes to the Ranger station in Marblemount from home.
They open at 7am so I'm there by 6:50 and listening to my 911's SSI headers and Dansk Sport muffler exhaust click and pop as it cools.

Stopped to help this guy get safely across the street, and far enough from the road.

Good work Byron!

Did another outing with my Nephew, overnight tent camping on his 5 acres over on the Peninsula side of Hood canal.
I have not explored that part of the state, we always go across to the ocean side.
More kinda funny names of cities, rivers and such-
Hiked up along the Dosewallips and then the Duckabush rivers.
Gorgeous territory, giant Rhododendrons here and there and clear cold clean water flowing from glaciers and snowfields of the Olympic mountains.

It’s still stunning to me to look North from the Puget sound and see Mt. Baker, look south and see Rainer both impressive Volcanos with immense glaciers.
Ferry boat was 2/3rds empty.
The joys of retirement and traveling on weekdays when most people are stuck at a cubical… I don’t miss that at all!

After a vibratory cleaning the needle bearings were no go for the Pro Link suspension.
Found a kit from Allballs racing that had all 6 bearings and all the rubber lined sealing washers too.
