Finally got to see a foot doctor, but it appears to be nerve issues, but, as pretty much expected, she highly recommended me get some tennis shoes with high arches and an insert for them. Fortunately we have a great shoe store that has been in business for close to 70 years, on the 3rd generation of the family owning the store, starting by the grandfather of the current owner. Lots of friends over the years have sworn by Boger shoes for medical shoes, odd sized feet etc. One other thing that I found interesting is the stores weren’t handed over to the sons, the Father sold the business to his son, and the son sold it to the grandson.

Huge beach areas, some rocky, lots nice and sandy, lots of Black Bear, Cougar and even a decent size Wolf population. Good idea to keep your eyes and ears open, several years back (before it got sooo popular) we were walking on the beach and heard something in the bushes above the beach. It was a good size Black Bear eating berries and minding his own business within 40 yards of us. We kept moving, made some noise and he/she stayed put.
