Things seen on last night's drive back to Los Alamos, NM after three weeks on business travel...

The view across the Rio Grande valley of the Pajarito plateau.

A long focal length compresses the distance, but the fire's still closer than we'd prefer.


You airheads I'm sure know more about this helicopter than me. Interesting "cub reporter" photo anyway.

The Pro class riders in a 100km criterium that ran through my town this weekend. These guys were flying on a quite tight and technical course.

Watching the kids grow
Sandhill Cranes that visit daily. The babies grow like crazy. Here in April then in May. Now they are the same size as mom and dad, minus the red plume.
