Nascar
so I was talking to this woman today, about how I don`t really like NASCAR. I said to her kind of jokeingly that it would be better if they had foreign cars along with the Chevys, Fords, and Dodges in nascar.
Then the beeotch called me an anti-american. What would have been a good comeback to that one?? I actually just walked away, but I was pissed I mean WTF?? Kyle 71` 911 |

I think Toyata and Honda make about as many cars in the US as the A$$CAR brands make in Canada and Mexico.

And Toyota will be in Busch and Nextel either 2005 or 2006.
Lesson learned; don't talk cars to women. She missed your point entirely. They all do. |

You know, I was standing on 10th Ave with a bunch of the NYC Pelicanheads last night. We were talking cars, and I mentioned that what I'd like to see on NASCAR would be 7 or 8 NYC yellow cabs (Ford Crown Vics) driven by actual NYC cabbies in a demolition derby.... errr, I mean a NASCAR style race arount the speedway as a warm up to the main event. I bet it would be as much fun as the race. Most of those guys have never been over 45 MPH, but are very adept at heavy traffic moves at close quarters.

Don't topfuel and funny cars get over 6000hp? Maybe she was telling the truth. I assume she was talking about dragsters.

Hey Kev.. Letterman was great, I almost got picked to be one of the TopTen Tourists. They had 10 'actual tourists' to announce the Top Ten Things Every Tourist Should Know About NYC.
I was going to be #2. "If you smoke a cigarrette in a bar in NYC, Mayor Bloomberg will kick you in the nuts..." I lost out to a fat guy in a Hawaiian Shirt. If you know me, the only thing he had going for him was that he was fatter.

What was up with #5 or 6's voice? He sounded like one of the lollipop kids from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory.

He didn't talk like that in the interviews. I think from the look on Dave's face, and the audience reaction, he did that as a surprise. He held a straight face afterwards.
There was an incident edited out of the show. Dave made a opening monologue about Kerry. Some guy in the row behind me stood up and yelled "Fock Bush". He was hustled away. Then I saw the thread about "Where's Yankee?" I figured it was him.

I have noticed every mention of bush or cheney on the conan show gets massive booing. I guess the demographic appealed to by that show is firmly anti-bush, either that or it can't all be edited out or the vocal anti bush people can't all be hussled away.

Anthony;
Could be, but prior to going into Letterman, we were repeatedly warned NOT to do only two things. Don't whistle (has something to do with the audience mikes) and do not shout out anything. They said boos were OK, but Dave likes up stuff, like clapping, more than negative stuff. He was actually delivering a pro-Kerry monologue, and most people were clapping when this guy stood up and shouted.

Well, concidering TV standards I can certainly understand hauling off people who shout obscenities during a show taping.

Yeah I learned my lesson never talk cars with women, especially that one. This anti-american BS is getting out of hand and I took offence to it but I have to beleve that she has no idea what she was talking about.
Thanks for all the replys, my first post to have a few stars next to it. I still would rather watch a DE than A$$CAR on my TV Thanks, Kyle 71` 911 |
