Do ya know what a 'cougar' is?

Do you know what he's talking about?


Reason why I ask: I saw some old buddies in SF this weekend, when I used the term 'cougar' all but one had no idea wtf I was talking about. It kind of threw me off, I thought this slang was common knowledge.

Seems like there's a couple of schools that use the cougar -- CSU:



None of which make any real sense to see in a bar. So yeah, I'd be surprised if a buddy said "Hey, cougar" in a bar.

There's also those silver-and-black helmeted guys who lost the most pathetic college football game I have ever seen, against Colorado two weekends ago. Cougs got about 400 yards, held Colorado to something like 110 yards total, and LOST!
