from what i saw earlier, almost all of the states were 7-7:30 pm

the popular vote so far is:
512K - bush
386k - kerry
3.8k - nader

ohio is coming up. the polls just closed there but it may be some time before enough precincts have totaled up the votes. tom brokaw just stated that no republican president has won w/out winning ohio. guiliani is on nbc saying that he hopes bush wins.

Saw on FoxNews's websites that some FL polls stay open until 8 est... so we have 26 minutes. Nobody had better call FL until then... :grr:

well, i haven't heard of any possible legal problems in any states except ohio and PA. it's coming up on 2a.m. here and if i'm staying up till the sun comes up, i better see some solid results!

a landslide? what gap would be called a landslide? 1.15m to 830k in the popular vote so far. seems like for governor, senate and house democrats are winning a lot even though bush gets the electoral votes.

This is very interesting - seems voter turn out was at an all time high this year, and basd on the chatter I've seen here, and in the 'real world,' most people have been more in turn to what is going on in our country, politically speaking. 'Bout time the average Joe USA started to get invovled.

13% of the voters in ohio are first-time voters. highest so far of any state. bush is up 2 points on kerry so far in OH even though it is REALLY early.

They just said on cnn that florida might take up until thursday to count their absentee ballots.

sure, but maybe there will be enough of a gap so that absentee ballots won't be a factor. what are the chances of that, eh?

bush has a 30 point lead in the popular vote. i'm guessing CA will take care of that when the time comes. *shrug* this is the first election that i actually followed this closely so i'm not sure what's normal and what's not.
