US attack on Iran 'inconceivable' says Straw http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/afp/20041104/wl_uk_afp/iran_nuclear_us_britain_041104143008 LONDON (AFP) - Foreign Secretary Jack Straw said it was "inconceivable" that the United States would attack Iran over its nuclear programme. FYI: Why is everyone taking about it, if it's not going to happen? |
Well when and if we go after Iran I hope we get Japan to loan us some big giant robots with really big rifles.

I don't have a lot of time these days so I only read page 1 of this thread, and the following issues is hopefully resolved, but I just wanted to point out, Cool_Chick that the puzzling questions and remarks you are getting are almost certainly just personal attacks. You've had a fairly thick skin all along and that's admirable. But it just causes more, and more vicious, personal attacks. So, just continue to stay relaxed and show your maturity. I've very much appreciated your input and remarks, as well as your patience and maturity. There are only so many of us non-neocons here to present the opposing view and I just didn't want you to get blindsided by the fairly nasty attempts to get you to go away, that you are still seeing.

In case you all are getting off track, the whole reason for the dislike of the US in the middle east is our support for Israel, no more, no less. I don't have a lot of time to go into this, but Israel seems to be preparing for another stand, digging a trench, building a big-ass fence, etc. What is this for? To stop the incursion of armor and personnel into Israel. http://www.poica.org/casestudies/jericho-seige/ For example. JCM |
The reason they were happy is that they saw Mr/ Ed as the second coming of Yimmy Carter & they couldn respect a punk like that.

The Coalition of the Willing http://www.stanford.edu/class/e297c/The%20Coalition%20of%20the%20Willing.htm Israel Wants $12 billion aid/loan package on top of its current $3 billion annually. |
I thought you guys were "down with" that kind of stuff out there K911?
|
I know we give Isreal some $$$, but I think we give a bunch of other nations much more in aid and so forth. Anybody know where to go for these figuers? Must be a Gov site that has to publish it.
|
do a search on the IMF.
|
started to, plenty cumberson. Sounds like you got some time on your hands between classes, maybe you can find something that tells us how the US compares to other nations in the giving stuff and also how much we give to whom. Nothing else, maybe you could use it to write an article for your schools newspaper...

Some might say that Israel would be foolish to spend their own resources to fight and disarm their neighbors when Dubya (actually Wolfowitz) is already doing it for them.

not saying they deserve the land they are on, but they do offer up a interesting wedge that has proven somewhat valuable to US interests. Imagine if they were never around, do you really think that the rest of the middle east would hate us so? Of course they would, this has gone on before the crusades. I'm sure that statement will bring about some fire but I don't think, or maybe I don't want to believe that the middle east has a problem with us becuase of our connection and funding to Israel. May be a part but not the only reason - if it is, man they really are near minded and short sighted.
