Craig -
I love that movie. One night, the current grilf asked if we could watch a "chick flick."
"Sure," said I, "how about My Fair Lady" and I showed her the DVD case.

She readily agreed. It was about the point where Higgins tells the maid that if Eliza doesn't behave to "wallop her with a broomstick" that the grilf decided that, as far as she was concerned, this was not a chick flick.

What's the movie where Jack Nicholson dresses down his long time partner/wife for just laying around the house?? Goes something like this........"You get a pretty god..n good salary sister for just sittin around the house all day...you want a challenge?? How about getting off of the god...m couch and cleaning this god...m pigsty for a change?" ....and on and on.

I can not remember what movie it is from but maybe someone here would know. I'd like to rent it again and record that 3 min tyrade to have on my computer. Or maybe someone actually has the sound clip??

I actually liked it better than "Time", but that's just me. The characters were more "real" for some reason.

Time seemed a bit retrospective - as if he wanted to write a western but got caught up with it never wanting to end. His points were made and made and made.

Asphalt, that movie was Carnal Knowledge, here's part of the quote I pulled off a website,

"You want a job? I got a job for you. Fix up this pigsty! You get a pretty Goddammed good salary for testing out this bed all day! You want an extra fifty dollars a week, try vacuuming! You want an extra hundred, make this Goddammed bed! Try opening some Goddammed windows! That's why you can't stand up in here, the Goddammed place smells like a coffin! "
