Looks like a sports model Hummer, it would be fine in a Mad Max movie, in Gotham city? I don't think so.

So Hollywood puts Batman in a SUV/Hummer, right when those things are falling out of fashion - typical.

I'd prefer a pimpmobile version--maybe based on the Chrysler 300C with chrome 20s? More in keeping with the original.

Looks like crap to me as well... Although this movie is supposed to be close to the Frank Miller storyline of batman starting out, so his technology isnt all that developed yet... hence it's all rough looking and not streamlined...
Sorry, just dont buy Christian Bale as batman..... To me, he is forever Patrick Bateman, running naked with cowboy boots, down a hallway with a chainsaw... Last edited by Jared at Pelican Parts; 05-25-2005 at 10:09 AM.. |

I dunno, looks like to might work for rural warfare but in the city? A pimped out 928, Viper or even a vette would have been a better choice.
Heck, if Ford had any marketing savy they would have lobbied wackywood with the next gen ponycar with some bat features. Opportunity lost.

Fortunately, there are a lot more kids who buy toys, which is what the new Batmobile is designed for, than enthusiasts who pine for the past. Granted, the first Catwoman and first Batmobile - an old Ford Galaxie that's still driven around the valley - is cool, but money is what keeps the brand breathing, and the new stuff sells. Batman toys are flying off the shelves almost as fast as Star Wars.
In short, it's all about the bottom line dollar.
