I grew up in New Orleans & now live in Chattanooga TN. Neither place is renowned for their eduacation systems. But I look at these jurors in the M Jackson trial and cant help but think "what the f*ck is going on in California?" They admit that the first vote was unanimous to aquit, then go on to talk about not liking the kid's mom, believeng MJ to be a child molester and retaliating for a finger snap. Apparently the fact that they gave MJ the lifetime booty pass to the underroos set matters not to them. Apparently the fact that due to their fine work, molested children everywhere will now be more reluctant to report the crimes matters not to them. They aquit on the liquor charge that he never did even dispute. And they say that even though they proved that MJ shared porno and liquored up theses little boys before sleeping with them, they didn't make their case. What the f*ck is going on in California. One friend of mine thinks that if he had been molesting girls the outcome would have been different. He said that the strength of the gay movement in Cali swung things in MJ's favor.

My guess is that those jurors would have aquitted even if they had watched video of the freak molesting little boys. I do not get it. I hope at least the freak ends up bankrupt from all this but I doubt it. I can't help laughing when I see adult men (and women for that matter) screaming and applauding for this freak. Many of these folks were to young to know him back when he was a true pop idol. What kind of person can look at Jacko now and see something that appeals to them? I admit he was ONCE a great performer, but nowadays he is just a complete nutjob. WTF?

tell you the truth, i have not followed the case at all. but now that it is over, it is all i hear on the radio. i think the jurors (and the rest of the world) believe something happened. but the prosecution didnt prove the case. so they couldnt come back with a guilty verdict. and that is a smart jury. exactly the type i would want if i was on trial. not the kind that goes and makes assumptions, and goes beyond the law. only the evidence they hear, nothing more, nothing less.
MJ is over. he will not recover from this.

Reminiscent of the OJ trial - the defense has the best legal talent money can buy, the prosecution gets the 2nd stringers.
Maybe in the the next high-profile case, the state should hire a private-sector firm.

Some of you are so "phobic" it makes one appreciate that you don't live here. Yeah he is different, a freak, an eccentric. So what. Bottom line is the prosecution did not prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt.

I stand for the prosecution making their case beyond a reasonable doubt. If they don't have the clear evidence to prove the charges they would like, then reduce the charge to what you can prove and proceed. It does not serve the public to stretch your case.

The only point I found hard to swallow is aquitting on the "providing an intoxicating agent" or whatever it was. Didn't he essentially admit to that? How could they find him not guilty of something he didn't even try and dispute (or deny)?

Jury dynamics are strange things. I have never been on one. Had a friend, Phd in Engineering, on one that found for the claimant against a small plane manufacturer when some idiot flew into inclement weather that he was warned was beyond the envelope for his plane. Of course he crashed.
RickM. As a parent, I have tried to never allow my children alone in an unsupervised situation with some one who doesn't share the same general set of "normality" values I do. MJ is a strange guy, and so most of these parents must be outside of normality. Yeah, they are idiots from our perspective.

So, let me get this right.....the jury believes it's ok for MJ to bed up with little boys? Let me guess, he "just wanted to cuddle". IMHO, there are no grey areas, you do NOT mess with kids in any inappropriate manner, no matter how well justified by the perp. Sick whacko.
