Sould we boycot Herbie ?

We all know now that Disney digitally altered the wonderful curves of Lindsay Lohan. I dont believe that this is acceptable and wont watch it before a uncensored version come out.

What's your source for this information? I'm going to the Cast and Crew screening tonight.

'Herbie' director denies Lohan breast rumors

Daniel Fienberg
Zap2it.com
Jun. 17, 2005 11:21 AM

LOS ANGELES - "Herbie: Fully Loaded" director Angela Robinson flatly denies rumors that in order to secure a "G" rating for the Disney summer offering star Lindsay Lohan's breasts had to be digitally covered and reduced.

"That, I think, was largely propagated on the Internet," Robinson says. "It wasn't really a concern."

"Herbie: Fully Loaded" appears to have safely scored its G-rating from the MPAA despite a number of scenes implying that a 42-year-old Volkswagen Bug might be inclined to sex up a younger Bug (complete with engorged radio antennae to imply automotive erections) and moments of euphemistic dialogue that would make small children blush if they could possibly understand. However, compared to her clothes in the hit comedy "Mean Girls," the 18-year-old Lohan's attire is positively conservative, as the actress spends much of the film in a racing suit that reveals less skin than your typical Amish casual wear.

Asked directly if computer wizardry had been used to obscure cleavage or eliminate unwanted prurient implications, Robinson responds tersely.

"No."

who cares about her breasts.....if what I heard is true, the movie is going to be an absolute abomination of the original idea. the real herbie raced in monte carlo with lancias etc., and the new herbie is racing with NASCAR!!! ahhh the pain.... please someone deny this rumor, then i might consider seeing it.

Lohan Has Digital Breast Reduction
By WENN
............................................
Teen actress Lindsay Lohan's breasts have been digitally reduced for forthcoming Disney film Herbie: Fully Loaded, to avoid offending family audiences.
Test screenings for the new movie, the fourth sequel to the 1968 film The Love Bug about a Volkswagen Beetle car with a mind of its own, indicated that some parents felt Lohan's character Maggie Peyton was too raunchy for a children's film.

Disney technicians were forced to plough through numerous scenes - especially those showing the busty actress jumping up and down at a motor racing track, reducing her breasts by two cup sizes and raising revealing necklines on her T-shirts.

Amused at her digital bosom reduction, Lohan says, "I don't know how Renee Zellweger kept swelling and shrinking for Bridget Jones. It's no fun.

"Bring on the computer guys."

Herbie is absolutely racing with NASCAR at the California Speedway. there's also a Baja Herbie, and a pimp my ride Herbie as well. The NASCAR Herbies will really go over 130 mph. We used a Cayenne Turbo as a camera car.

I hear ya bro. I was flipping through the channels about a year ago, and saw some old footage at Riverside Raceway. Sure enough it was a Herbie movie. Then there was some great footage at Laguna back in the 60's. It was great. We should do "Herbie at LeMans", or "Herbie runs Speed World Challenge" maybe "Herbie at the Nurburgring 24Hr."

I thought it was great

Maybe I'm biased, because Iworked on the movie, but I thought it was great. It's classic Disney, a little campy, but well done. The special effects (read mechanical effects, not just digital effects) were really good. It actually has a plot and is fun. I laughed and so did the cast and crew at the screening (ok, sure they're biased) but its good. We actually did a couple of laps with NASCAR and we used a Cayenne Turbo as a camera car, hitting speeds of over 130 mph with a 63 bug with an engine that put out a true (dyno'd) 190 hp. If your nice to me, maybe I'll post a few pics (again) of the race and special effects Herbies.

Hugh, I didn't mean to be too critical, afterall I haven't seen the film yet. But as a person who absolutely loved the original herbie movies when I grew up and liked the european setting and the classic style of it, it's very unsettling to think of nascar being used to americanize it. I mean.....people in this country just can't get enough of their hillbilly ovals so they can sit, guzzle beer, and watch a bunch of hopped-up american cars make left turns all day......and the movie would obviously make much less money appealing to people who watch 24 hours of lemans as opposed to the 500 miles of Daytona.

and of course if this movie is something you have put hard work into and made good friendships with other people in the process, of course you are biased.....so I don't blame you for liking it a lot. i mean filming at 130mph must have been really amazing! and in fact, working on any car related film sequence in any movie would be a great experience I would never pass up...

i'll go see the movie and let ya know how I like it......sounds like it will still be entertaining and funny....

p.s. did lohan attend the screening? usually stars don't right?
