My office is in Old Saybrook, and I live in Chester. Chester and Essex are nice, Deep River is nice but mixed (IE a 3 million dollar house on the CT river next to a trailer, etc.)
Up by Essex and Chester you have to run a half hour to go to a good restaurant, but Old Saybrook is a good mix of charm and convenience. -DMA
