How are Pelicans rated?
As a newbe to PP (one month) I'm overwhelmed with all the information that's so readily available here. I've been a Porsche owner for over 30 years and wish I'd had this resource available over those years. I've already gotten more valuable, time saving information from some members.
My question is to find out where I can learn more about the Pelicans. How are the designations of junior or senior member arrived at? What do they mean? How do you get one of those cool animations or images under your member name? Are there Pelican events or gatherings beyond PCA events and other clubs? Is there a source for more information on the Pelicans? |
You ask many questions, Grasshopper....

I can't snatch the rock like I used to but I'm still doing the visa versa... master

Hey man, go to user cp up top and to profile. You can add an avatar and after 100 posts (I think), you can change your member status to whatever suits you. Some people call for meets or drives in their areas, but there are no worldwide Pelican sponsored events.
|
Junior + < 100 posts, serior => 100 posts, doesn't mean you know anything (ask me how I know). Use the search feature, you'll find and incredible amount of info. If you haven't already, post pics of your car (No. 1 rule). Locals organize local car runs. Post and initiate a local get to gether. Big rule, be polite and no profanity. People get banned for that. Welcome!

The ranking standard is pretty simple, actually: If you're in my posse, you're the winners. :p
I think we should create a new rule... new members MUST bring more cowbell. |

I don't think donny took the hint.
You don't exist here until you post pics of the car... we need to see that 75 911 Carrera Coupe #215. The more the better!! |
Here she is!
I've had this car for 23 years! Probably the longest relationship I've ever had! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1123642957.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1123642998.jpg

Ok, now that you've earned it, let me say "welcome to the board!!"
What a gorgeous 911!! An awesome example. What is that below the passenger door handle though? I can't tell from the pics. |
its a door edge thingy for keeping the door from getting whacked (and vice versa).
Welcome. Here all the newbies are assigned mentors to help them along their path. You nickname is "Pinto", and your mentor is MarkWilson. Enjoy! |

It does have a reflector in it for those road side occassions. The picture from the side in the garage was taken two weeks ago after she had passed the 2.7. If you noticed her butt is still in the air waiting for the new power plant.
The car is all original (except for the 86SC 3.2 motor now) Racaros, blue/black leather, sunroof, 7&8's, Bose sound. I think I'll like it here... |
You never show the driver's side. Is there one on that side too? Where did you get those?
Also, what is an '86 SC? "except for the 86SC 3.2 motor now" SC's stopped in '83 right? |
