Dayyam...from starting in dead last place to winning the whole freakin' race...Kimi passed every other driver in the field to take the Japan Grand Prix...absolutely stunning...it is too late for him to win the championship this year but he seems unstoppable. Now if they could only build him a car that actually worked! The poor guy has been through four engine failures this year already. And he STILL won seven races.

Janus,
And think what he could have done had he not had the engine puke and started from 11th position on the grid. Hope that McLaren can figure out how to get the engines to stay together and still be fast next year. Isnt 2006 the first year of the V8's? Not sure I like that but they forgot to ask any of us... I still want to see tire changes back in the action. JoeA

Under previous year's scoring systems, he would be ahead in the championship. And the Suzuka race was just sick...just think if his car actually would handle when he's on the tail of another car....

I have had to chuckle all afternoon watching this race recalling the commentators saying those immortal old comments over the last few years ....
Of course he can't get too close to the car in front because he will find the car uncontrollable due to lack of downforce in the dirty air... Of course it is impossible to overtake on this circuit.... now hes been relegated to the back of the grid he has no chance of a win..... I guess nobody told Jensen, Kimi or Alonso judging by events this season.

And if Martin Brundle says "he's all over him like a rash" again I'll throw a beer at the TV!
