did you see that skinny guy wading chest deep in water with a case of beer in his grasp? I thought that was histerical. OOOOPS I'm sorry I didn't mean to say "skinny"!

The "Aggressive Driver Unit" cars here have ordinary plates. There are all makes and models. One was a white Volvo station wagon. Super dark tinted windows. I was baited by one and given a ticket for 72 in a 60. While we were in the 70 mph zone, he insisted on adjusting his speed so as to remain in my passenger side blind spot. I held my speed going into the 60 mph zone because I wanted this guy to get OUT of my blind spot. We were the only two cars on a six-lane freeway at six o-clock on a Saturday morning. I wish it were still about safety instead of revenues.

So, the cops USE dark tinted windows, but don't like it when we have 'em! Hmmmm, sounds a lot like some of the folks who wish to overturn the 2nd amendment. All members of Congress can carry concealed. Many do. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it seems hypocritical when a member of Congress who carries votes to deny the same to other law abiding citizens.

Hey there Bryant..Good to hear from you again.....Alright..let's light the cigars and have a another conversation...

Notice the statement above....and what was said to the the 911 operator....no inference to ethnicity....NOW if the police came and he was asked to describe what he saw..then OK....

It's like "I was driving down the street and saw an accident. This "White/Asian/Latino/Russian/etc guy" hit this van...

Why the inference to race is my question? If he was White...I doubt that the original statement would have been "I saw a cop and a large White guy about to go at it" See my point????

Lighting the cigar now.....

I see your point, but consider this...

Whites (people or European descent) are still the majority in the U.S.

If I was in China, and described a fight to you: "I saw two guys get into a fight"--you would assume they were both Chinese. If I said to you (still in China) "I saw the police arrest a white guy"--you would assume the police were Chinese. It's context, not necessarily racism.

Agreed..not racism..Nowhere did I call that out. My point is just awareness of some of our statements MAY be interpreted as stereotypical.

Around my daughters I would never say "Some air head woman in a mini-van hit my car...I may think it but I'd be careful not to say that in mixed company.........Know what I mean?

Taking a puff....

I miss my Crown Vic.
When I was Fire Chief I had an 2002 CV Police Interceptor, as my Chiefs car. For a month when i first got it, it was unmarked.
It was great, always had the left lane to myself!
I gotta tell ya, that car hauled a**! Handled great too. As far as braking ability, you just had to blow on the pedal and the car would stop. Awsome car!!

I might say that, but because I believed the woman to be an air-head, not because I believe all women to be air-heads. If a woman said to me: "Some @$$hole guy in a SUV hit my car..." I would assume it was because the guy acted like an @$$hole, not because she believes all men to be @$$holes. Then again, in the realm of political correctnes, it is perfectly acceptable to declare all men @$$holes, but completely off limits to declare all women air-heads.

My stogies are at home...

I was driving across the Alley and a all black ZR-1 corvette went by me doing about 110 mph. It had a plate that looked a little like this, had some government writting in little text on the left side:

I've not made any firm plans yet. I get a special deal at the MGM so tend to take advantage of it when I'm there. Has any decision been made as to where the gathering will be?

My brother is a vice cop here in Tampa. He had a Crown Vic with a gov. tag and spot light and said you would be suprized by the dumba$$ people that don't think it's a cop car. They want to race him on the intersate or don't pull over or pass him doing 90 mph.

Now he has a Ford SUV that you would never quess was a cop car. 'Cept for that 12 ga. standing up against the dash on the pass. side. But he can't make traffic stops with it.

And I've met some of his vice guys. You would never think they were cops. So you better be careful when you are getting those lap dances down here. The guy next to you could be a cop.

What`s wrong with lap dances? Is it because it is south of the Bible belt? Here in New-Jersey, no problemo.

The Oregon State Supreme Court just ruled that live sex acts on stage are legal...free speech. I guess the only reason Vice Cops would want to hang out in Oregon strip/sex bars would be to nail drug dealers. In Portland, they don't go after the street walkers, they go after the johns with female decoys...that way they can confiscate the car.
