I have a retired Police Crown Vic. Let's just say the car has proven to be beneficial to me.

What I also can say:
--The most reliable car I've ever beat on.
--Cheap to buy, cheaper to own
--Lincoln Town Car seats bolt in directly.
--It's easy to double park a white Crown Vic in the city.
--I think it will go 139MPH, but I'm not trying it.
--Porsche grade stopping power
--It likes to go real fast over railroad tracks

:D

pwd, the reason that it is illegal for "civilains" to have tinted windows is the inherent danger during traffic stops. If the windows are tinted, the cop cannot see into it and may get blasted while walking up to it. It is an officer safety thing.

I always say, most cops are excellent people. There are a few knotheads though. Those of us who are honest, hard-working cops HATE the knotheads more than the public does.

So, the cops USE dark tinted windows, but don't like it when we have 'em! Hmmmm, sounds a lot like some of the folks who wish to overturn the 2nd amendment. All members of Congress can carry concealed. Many do. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it seems hypocritical when a member of Congress who carries votes to deny the same to other law abiding citizens.
