A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years.

You may want to click on the hints which, I believe only go up to level 8 (I believe it said 168 levels total).

Some have links that take you to a password prompt, but for a couple you just change the existing url.

Make sure you always right click on the page (not the image) and choose "view source" or "view page source". Some of the most valuable hints are hidden in the raw page that is never displayed on the webpage. Sometimes it's a good idea to look at the password prompt too. In a couple you'll have to download and manipulate a file that he gives you a link to.

I started this afternoon at work, we got to level 16 before we all left for the day.

For level 6 there is text that's "hidden" on the page. Try selecting the page to reveal the codes. Once you have the codes if you can't figure out what they are/what you need to do with them by reading the "page source" then you can click this link to see a page that should tell you how to use them. It's not a dead give away, but may be useful for some of you that don't have extensive computer backgrounds. Even with that you don't exactly have the username and pass, but you should be able to easily get it.

Level 8 isn't too bad. It has to do with a file. Once you figure it out you can plainly see the username and password.

I told you guys, this thing'll drive you crazy. I'll probably quit at some point to keep from being driven any further crazy.

Dah!! When I saw all of that empty space the first time, I selected all (option-a), but nothing showed up. Just after reading your post, I clicked below everything and tried to select, and then it showed up! Damn iframes! I might have to get a real browser & drop Safari for this game.

Thanks for the tip... i'll be able to sleep tonight

Aurel, the deathball file is a decoy, there's another file in there to download, but it's not listed in the source as a url like the deathball file. You're going to have to download a file and turn it into another kind of file "jay pack" (say it 3 times fast) to see the user and pass.

Somehow I don't think I got to the same place as everyone else. When I enter a logon & password from level 7, it takes me to a blank page that simply says "too new" and nothing else.

Is this correct?

[EDIT: I figured it out. I was typing in a word that was "too new". I searched google some more, and unfortunately the first page I opened was a spoiler site that had the answer.]

21 has us hung up at work. The clues per puzzle get less and less from 10 on.
