what i don't get, is why does it need a full nuts and bolts restoration
the paint looked ok, so why sand the bloody thing down to fg , and thus erase all the patina, all the historical traces, and so forth...


it ain't original anymore once it's stripped and rebuilt like this
And for a car of this caliber, it's like stripping down the mona Lisa, and repainting it
It doesn't matter if it's re-done to look exactly how it looked hundreds of years ago

Just like this car being stripped, it no longer the same thing, and it cannot be reversed
So i don't see why it needs stripping in this case, sure as hell ain't rusting in the body panels :rolleyes:
