I had the opportunity of meeting up with a master class Gruppe B representative, K9Handler on this site, at his home unit in Germany. No beer was refused which, with hindsight, was an absolute win-win.
K9 (or rather, Handler) ran a remastered 3.6 litered early year Porksche, in actual true fact, he didn't, due to his master craftsman wrench being busy elsewhere in the land of Teutons.

My observation (not sponsored by that gruppe) is that they are motivated by the statement "Ask not, Gentlemen, what your Porksche can do for you, ask what you can do to your Porksche".

I wish them fortitude and many years of 911 brotherhood!

Think 83 cab, with a 73RS body backdate and a 93 3.6 engine and you might be close....

What is Gruppe B?

I have always found it easier to explain something with pictures, so I have compiled this group of what Gruppe B is.

Not Gruppe B...

Gruppe B...

Not Gruppe B...

Gruppe B...

Not Gruppe B...

Gruppe B...

Not Gruppe B...

Gruppe B...

I hope that helps.

I was thinking the same thing. Sawsall ownership is a fundamental Gruppe B requirement. How you use it is not as important. We trust you.

I love the fact that Pelican considers this thread about a Gruppe with the wrong letter (wink) to have no technical input and moves it to the OT section but lets thread Cayman to Gayman stay. It always good to know where you stand, right below tasteless homosexual comments...

...if you transport a 915 gearbox on the undercarraige of your airplane, you might be GruppeB material

...if your annual RC porsche race usually turns into a smokey pile of melted plastic, you might be GruppeB material

...if the names "Hammer", "Soukus", "Otto", or "Young Jedi" are common on your tongue, you might be GruppeB material

...if you've ever seen Josh in a superman outfit, you might be GruppeB material

...if the words "Numbers Matching" make you roll your eyes, you might be GruppeB material

LOL. Classic. I love it.

If you've ever riveted fenders to your 911, you might be Gruppe-B material.

If you've ever transported a 911 in the bed of your pick-up, you might be Gruppe-B material
