I do have one more knife I sometimes carry if I think I might need a locking blade and super sharp edge.

Once again, nothing nearly as pretty as some of the examples above. Just a nice quality Gerber blade. It is cool how fast the blade pops out.

I'll check them out.

This looks like a possibility as well.
Spyderco ClipiTool™ Screwdriver/Opener I like that it integrates a bottle opener.

Spyderco also has the cricket which is small. I'd think it might be a pain to sharpen considering the curve of the blade.

The Kershaw Cinder looks like it would fit the bill, especially at $8.50.

this has been my Covid-Carry. super reliable for me. whacking open a bagel, opening a beer, etc.

not intimidating at all, and flipping it open anywhere feels acceptable. solid performer for $42!!

I buy "Outdoor Edge" knives by the bucket. I give them to my guys, and use them myself as my daily carry. The edge is razor-sharp and the best part is, you switch them out when they get dull. I put the used blades in a metal cigar tin and when it's full I duct tape it closed and drop them off in a sharps disposal.

Wow

https://www.benchmade.com/85-billet-ti-bali-song.html $650

Back to Benchmade’s roots, the new 85 is our latest addition to the Bali-Song®️ line up. Featuring integral single piece titanium handle assembly and a drop-point blade with through-hole milled fuller to match the aesthetics of the handles, this Bali-Song®️ flips effortlessly on stainless steel ball bearings. The 85 is the confluence of heritage and the modern era.

BLADE LENGTH 4.40” [11.18cm]
BLADE THICKNESS 0.124” [3.150mm]
OPEN 10.00” [25.40cm]
CLOSED 5.5” 13.97cm]
WEIGHT 5.29oz [149.97g]
HANDLE THICKNESS 0.46” [11.68mm]

Blade Edge Plain
Blade Finish/Color Stonewash
Blade Steel CPM-S30V (58-60 HRC)
Blade Style/Shape Drop-point
Handle Material Titanium
Blade Style Plain Drop-Point
Handle Material Blade Finish: Finish Satin Blade Steel: CPM-S30V (58-60) Handle Material: Billet Titanium(Silver)

But I'm not going to spend that kind of money for a knife, especially when it would basically sit around in a drawers except when I occasionally picked it up and played with it for a bit.

Very nice. Looks like it's got a very nice edge on it. Did you also hit the high points on the handle and clip with some sand paper or something?

^^ Yup, it's a Benchmade Anthem, which has a Ti integral frame. So, I did some heat anno on it and knocked down the high points back to raw Ti with some 800 grit.

This just came in the mail...

Made in USA. The steel is 420SS so I’m not sure about that.

I like the feel of the lock. 25 year warranty so if I don’t lose it, it will be around for a while.

8 functions...

Knife,
Phillips Screw Driver,
Slot Screw Driver,
Smaller Slot Screw Driver,
Bottle Opener,
Awl,
Package Opener??? (Doesn’t a knife do this?),
Pry Tool (Also the large screwdriver).

Anyway, it’s light and they are going head to head against Swiss Army knives with these.

I have carried a Kershaw Leek assisted for years, can't live with out it and the customer service is excellent. I have 2 for when 1 disappears into the couch.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you did too. Maybe another thread. I remember folks saying they either also had one or wanted one.
