Beer is a highly situational beverage:
Cold winter night: Guinness, Harpoon IPA, Traquair House. Hot summer day: Corona, Dos Equis, Pacifico, etc. In-between: Celis white, August Schell Weizen, Augustiner Brau, Kapuziner and Anchor. Accompanying Pizza: Yuengling.

Never been a huge fan of Bell's. It's close to the perfect beer, but the way it falls short really turns me off. I can't explain why. That, and I met Larry Bell in Houghton two years ago, and he was a jerk.

't was one of the first compaq 386'es that was when the pentium was just out... and they had no intention of replacing it...they probably had it done for y2k after i changed companies...

Budvar is very good, and the Black Butte Porter is what I get in Bend. 35 years ago I used to get free Czech beer from Czech pilots at JFK when I was working Pax Svc for PanAM. Beamish is a good alternate to Guiness when not in Dublin. My wife has started to buy me uncommon brand beers to try. I love my wife.

Love the Saint Bernardus ABT 12!! Great stuff!
Also, Stoudts Double IPA Dogfish head 120 min IPA Victory Storm King Victory Hop Devil Victory Old Horizontal (barleywine) Troegs Mad Elf is great this time of year Old Dominion Oak Barrell Stoudt So many good beers out there...agree though that my favorite beers are very situational and time of year dependent. These are my winter beers...in the summer I tend to drink much lighter beers..

Okay, I'm gonna get flamed for this... but I don't see the big deal about Guiness. I am not a huge fan of stouts, but I have tried many. Compared to most of the stouts I've tried, Guiness tastes like a watered-down version, like comparing Coors Lite to Harpoon IPA.
I am talking about "American" Guiness, of course. Apparently, from what I've heard, a Guiness ordered in the Old Country is quite a bit different.

I'd have to agree with Joe on this one. If you ever find yourself in Prague, make sure to visit the Urquell factory. It is like Budweiser in name only...
Some pics from my visit this summer.

Moses and other Steam lovers, I used to live 3 blocks downwind of the Anchor Brewing Co on Potrero Hill in San Francisco. The fragrant smells that came out of that place... I always knew when they were adding hops to the current batch.
The tour is great, and at the end you belly up to the bar and sample a pint of each of their 5 brands. If you can still walk, you can walk right down the street to the Connecticut Yankee where they have all 5 beers on tap. We used to joke that the taps were plumbed directly to the factory.
