The P-32, at 7 oz, is a great piece to carry and hide. 32 isn't too bad. I have the P3-AT (Carry it every day!) and that thing kicks pretty darn hard.

If the P-32 is too much for her, she'll end up with a little Baretta, prbably a Tomcat.

On a darker note, it is sad listening to the news here. I will formally warn people to be careful where you stay in Houston.

The slide spring on the Tomcat is pretty hard for the little ladies to pull back to cock. It is a top loader though maybe that will help. Why not a revolver? An early Colt police positive or bankers special, even a detective special in .32. Easy to use, cheap to buy, for an old Colt, and it will keep going up in value.

The top loading feature means you don't have to pull the slide back to charge it. If I remember correctly, it's DAO, so the slide doesn't cock the hammer.

I took My girlfriend to the range for the first time about ten years ago, she had never fired a gun before, and now she can't wait to go. Her gun of choice Glock 9mm, sometime she will steal my Sig .45, but not for more than one clip.
