Go Cuba!!!!!!
Sport transcends politics....when MLB tried to inject a political message into the World Baseball classic it was a slap in the face to sportsfans around the world. Regardless of Cuba's political problems they are a nation of sportsfans....and in that we are kindred....it's poetic justice that Cuba plays tonight for the Championship...

Missed it. What did MLB do?
I agree, sports are sports. Period. I'm pretty sure the Cuban ballplayers are pretty apolitical with 2 out in the 9th and a full count.

They remained ambivolent to the State Departments ruling against Cuba until fan outcry forced them to seek redress in late 2005.....
