Requesting assistance from any Pelicans in Germany??
I am slowly collecting the outstanding history for my car, and the only part remaining is from its time spent in Fulda Germany (where it was originally sold). I have managed to get confirmation that during its time in Fulda, it was maintained by the Porsche centre there - after a nice discussion with the service manager! My problem is that he is not willing to release any paperwork to me without the permission from the past owner - who I am not managing to locate Is there any Pelicans in Germany who are able to maybe help me here??

Track down Harald, who I think is here and on Rennlist sometimes. He's in Moenchen-Gladbach, which isn't very close to Fulda. But he's pretty connected. Also check on www.elfertreff.de if you can speak German.

Thank you Rick. I have a friend here in Sweden who speaks German, and an uncle who actually also lives in Moenchen-Gladbach. I have in the past had discussions with Harald, so will contact him again. My main problem is that the service manager at the Porsche centre in Fulda is insisting that the German law will not permit him to supply me with any history as it contains personal data (names etc) for past owners, and without written approval from these people he can not send anything to me. That I would be happy with if he would be willing to give me the name in the first place so that I can ask them (three in total, and I am sure the first one is probably dead by now!!!) - a bit of a chicken and egg situation
 So I was hoping to find a pelican with some good contacts within the German Porsche system who might be able to pull some strings and help

Well, I've been to Fulda a few times, but it was before I was in the Porsche world. Harald will definitely know where to point you. He speaks pretty good English too.
Edit: Oh, I forgot. There's a big US air base there too. I can't remember the name, but I got stuck hitchiking there a long time ago and saw many US personnel around there. Maybe Feldstadt. Joeaksa or K9Handler, you know about this? Someone there might be able to look into that.

Yea - what I need is someone to get that service manager some beers, in exchange for the documents. This is all that is outstanding for me to have a fully 100% documented history on my 911. Who would have thought that something so little can get so hard to do
