Patsy. If you really think Bush is ushering in fascism (which you do not), expect a late night megaphone and spot lights any moment...You are a neo-liberal wrapped in tinfoil. They seem to be breeding...I thought soddomites couldn't, my bad.

Could B2 possibly be as delusional as Mul? With his ready access to the nu-kleer option?

This thread is really starting to hit bottom. I am not sure what to think about Bush. Watching the one video of Bushisms, it sure seems like he is drunk for at least one of them.

I am not sure that I buy that Bush is really falling apart as was claimed early in the thread. He seems to be managing pretty wel in public for someone who is so far gone in private. As you all know I am not exactly a fan of his!! In all fairness, I think that it might be a bit mean spirited to push these rumors around without a bit more backup.
Either way, the public has clearly turned against his administration. Despite what Mul wishes to think. Its too bad this wasn't going on during the 2004 elections.

Hmm, let's see here...close-minded denials with no thought contributed...ad hominem attacks...signs of complete lack of original thought via endless link posts....

I thought you were pretty interesting when you first started posting here, fastpat. I'd be interested in a true Libertarian's point of view, but you're obviously not a true Libertarian. You have more of a soft-fascist's point of view, and become increasingly shrill as you lose one debate after another.

By the way, you never did clear up whether you really support the murder of peace officers , as you imply in your post.

Have a good weekend Pat. And keep the faith. Every religion requires at least one member. It doesn't really matter whether that member can think straight; blind faith is really all that's required.

Mul..

Please review your outlook. That poor woman had views quite similar to yours....Superior and all-wise, intolerant of any other view, argumentative, and fiercely loyal to whatever the "cause de Jur" was that year.

For your own future well-being, please try to be more balanced and accepting of other views, other ideas, other people or your mind will freeze and your outlook will become even more narrow and out-of-focus.

I do not wish the president any ill. Further, I do not accept fully that there is a "problem" with the prez's actions. There may or may not be a problem. Future actions may either resolve this situation and it may not. Who knows? I want the world situations to be resolved in as equitable a manner as possible. Therefore, I pray that the ideas and policies put forth morph more into reality, the kind of rational and logical proposals that can be accepted by other nations, repairing the global community.

Thanks, fellas for the kind words. One of the most horrible things is to watch another person slowly unravel and finally realize that the three rules of AlAnon really do apply:

You didn't cause it (the problem)

You can't control it

You can't cure it.

Yeah, mul..and I not only went to Al Anon meetings, early in the process five or more a week, but I supported her by also going to AA meetings with her.

It might be an interesting excercise to examine the roles of close supporters as "enablers", adding to, rather than forcing the individual to face the situation.

island: in the jargon, it is referred to as a disconnect.

Typically, this type of 'insider info' doesn't come out until well after the administration has ended. Too many careers at stake.

For instance, it wasn't until Reagan was out of office that some in the White House press corps spoke openly about his incoherence in one of his early press conferences. There was a 'conspiracy of silence' so as not to 'upset the American people.'

Soft fascist? That's almost impossible, in order to be a fascist of any kind I'd have to support a strong central government with nearly unlimited police powers; and a huge number of social programs. Since I not only support none of those things; I want no government at all, fascism is pretty much at the opposite end of the political spectrum from where I sit. Anarcho-capitalist is pretty accurate. Fascism is down there next to socialism and communism; a bit passed the Democrats and Republicans, but not far.

I don't support the murder of anyone, which why I posted about the police state in action. The police did murder someone, as I posted, and the citizens in that location need to take care of them; one way or another. Everyone has the right to defend against criminals, including members of the blue uniformed street gang.

I will have a good weekend, but religion doesn't interest me much, except as a history. But thanks.

the old "higher power" deal. unable to impose ANY self control. if the "big guy" fails you, it's not YOUR fault. he's only "one meeting" away from a relapse. everyday presents the opportunity to start on the new token. until the making ammends task is completeted he's still a drunk. that is one big list, and growing on a daily basis.

You know not of what you speak. Objectivity leads, necessarily, into rigidity in some beliefs, neutrality in others. You are confusing the two as you misread. You, Money, are missing the mark and misapplying psychological concepts...Politics must be black-and-white (no, not Jesse Jackson race-baiting "black" and white). There is often a hard truth that is undeniable, and liberals seem to not abide by it. Liberals expect others to abide by the lie if they need it to acquire power FROM the people.

No, mul

Politics is not black and white, only some people's interpretation of it is.

Your posts show the emotionality of the topic. They show the inability of an individual (you) to apply objectivity to the subject by making general and inane statements like all Democrats are evil, the President is a genius, and so many others I cannot even begin to list them.

In essence, the parody of a thinking individual.

Objectivity is the opposite of rigidity. Objectivity is the ability to examine a subject from a number of viewpoints and come to an independent conclusion. Unfortunately, all of us have internal biases and therefore perfect objectivity is impossible. In your case, those biases are extreme and extremely rigid.

I will keep you in my prayers, though. I love the sinner, but not the sin. Much better than condemning the sinner to eternal perdition.

I still wonder how you meld the message of love preached by Christ with the vitriol against your fellow humans.
