Video of plane hitting Pentagon 9/11

Ok, here's my input....

I watches the latest conspiracy theory video on google/yourtube/whatever. They were constantly showing clips of folks describing the hit on the pentagon - people off the street saying that the plane looked like a 'small jet airplane' a '5 to 8 passenger prop plane'....etc.

Ok, well, here this, all you conspriacy folks: I remember quite vividly driving to work on that sad day, and hearing on the newsradio I listen to every day that something that appeared to be a small plane hit the North Tower of the World Trade Center. I believe the reporter said it was a Cessna or an executive jet. Obviously, she was wrong in her initial assesment. In fact, a jumbo jet smashed into the side of hte WTC.

So, was this lady reporter trying to start a conspiracy theory? Was her eyesight THAT BAD? Did an executive jet really take down the World Trade Center? No, no, and no.

Here's a simply fact: we don't see airplanes smashing into buildings often. We also don't see big airplance parked next to office buildings often. It's all about a lack of perspective. We can't easily resolve the scale of a jumbo jet hitting the Pentagon or the WTC simply because we don't see that kinda thing happening all the time. Also: the fact that something so unexpected, so horrific occured helps to cloud the mind's eye.

Ever been to the NASA base in Florida? Their HUGE assembly building is very, very large. The flag on the side of the building is, I believe the size of THREE football fields. You can put four Yankee Stadiums on top of the the building next to each other. The Statue of Liberty EASILY can fit inside. That said, driving up to the building, it doesn't seem as formoding - as large. Its only when you are closer to it, and see things like other buildings and water towers, and cars around it, that you get a better perspective on its size.

Same thing applies to the people who thought they saw a small craft hit buildings on 9-11. They didn't have a previous perspective on it, they were surprised by it, and their minds couldn't rectify the images.

On September 11, 2001, two commerical jumbo jets slammed into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Centers. On that same day, another jumbo jet hit the Pentagon in Washington DC, and yet another jumbo jet was crashed in an field in Pennsylvania. It happened. Innocent people died - in the buildings and on the airplanes.

This was not a conspiracy - it was a terrorist attack. Deal with it.

hey you idiot i work at an airport! a very exclusive very expensive airport that is jet capable. i have been in aviation all my life! your comparison of me to a terrorist is uncalled for and im pissed! we were ready to protect whatever or whomever at this airport! no one was landing and noone was taking off! NOONE not even you! in case you didnt know from prior thread the terrorists trained less than 14 miles s and less than 10miles sw of us. why you were standing in disbelief that this could happen we were protecting our assets. its real easy to critisize someone when not in the same position. easier when behind a screen. we had millions of dollars in planes on the tarmac and in hangers. federal assests were stretched thin. county state etc. like i mentioned in the opening moments of 9/11 noone including you knew what was happening or when it was going to happen again. maybe your job doesnt put you on the front lines of anti-terrorism in a civilian role. mine does! I WAS IN MUNICH IN '72 in the OLYMPIC VILLIAGE when the s&*% went down there! i have alot of friends in the military on the ground and flying right now. i was in the coast guard just short of coxswain rating. comparing me to a terrorist when i and the airport mgr are scrambling for intel nor knowing if we were going to be hit at any moment was one of the scariest moments of my life! you have obviously wanted to strike at me for whatever reason, so be it. just remember its there for all to see what a jerk you are! its people like you that call yourself a u.s. citizen that make me want to puke! anybody that believes for a moment that this was conspiracy by our government has the brains of a rock. maybe you werent affected by the events of 9/11, but we were. please call me a terrorist to my face wide body! your a jerk! when you have friends around you that lost their jobs as pilots due to 9/11. when your girlfriend was in tower 1, 2 days before 9/11, please try and convince me what we did was wrong idiotic or a terrorist act protecting this airport from a possible attack on PVNGS(palo verde nuclear generating station) or any further attacks!!! your a fricking dumb ass moron!

I'm still not clear where you're going with this rant, other than to the cardiac and/or psych wards.

So you've established that you armed yourself to the teeth in some ritzy airport on 9/11. What that has to do with preventing terrorism in general, solving the problem of the attack which was already in progress - and pretty much over by that point - or even what it had to do with the video of the plane hitting the Pentagon, and the related conspiracy theories, is completely lost on me.
