Info on Uncle Zak Mosier

Does anyone know how or where to find Uncle Zak Mosier. I know he has posted here in the past. I purchased parts from him and he has shipped only about 2/3 of what we agreed to. we are talking four figures remaining to complete the agreement. he does not respond to e-mails and he has moved his shop since the deal was made some time ago. Any help wpoud be appreciated. I am new to the forum so I hope I haven't broken any rules here. Thank yo all in advance.

Thanks for the reply. Not good news reading the thread. I posted a reply to the original thread as well. Not feeling too happy about it but need to start looking for parts again. This motor will cost an extra $1800 to build now. May as well bend over and take it like a man. Have an attorney friend who I will ask about any recourse I may have. I will post his response when I get it.

I think he has a 'u' in his last name. An attorney can find him w/o much trouble. Tell your guy that Barrister's Aide is a pretty decent process server here. Sorry to hear about this.

Small claims court might be a help. He has a history if the past posts are to be believed.

I would go that route and see how it goes. Sorry to see anyone on PP default on a sale.

only works if you are in the county where he is - in Oregon anyway

1. file w/ AG's office of consumer protection

2. see if you can file in real court there

Someone asked again about this guy, so I am updating ("bumping") this thread.

Altho he is by no means the worst rip off in the Porsche business, it irks me that so many complaints surface about a Porsche 'business' in Oregon, much less my own town.

So, if you have a problem, this thread will give you some tips.

You can get a business name and the address from the Or. Secretary of State. You file a lawsuit and then serve the Defandant at that address. See the above re small claims, which can go up to a few thou in Oregon, IIRC. See a lawyer if you were cheated of $10,000 -- if it was only $5,000 then you are kinda in the middle, and an attorney may not be worth the cost.

Complaints about businesses are important - if the state sees several or a trend then they will do something about it.
http://www.doj.state.or.us/FinFraud/welcome3.htm

His shop is in West Eugene, and if you are driving up to Portland for the Parade you could always stop off and visit. Or leave hate mail at his door.

NOW - I don't know if any of the many complaints are true. Anybody will have some. But there are way too many complaints, that much is clear...

His former web site is no longer in operation, and he doesn't seem to be on eBay anymore. It is possible that eBay will investigate a fraudulent transaction. BUT just b/c you aren't satisfied, does not mean it was fraud.

He still has that shop, so if it is worth it to anyone, you will need to do some research...

So this is my public service for the day.

Ebay wouldn't ban a guy for selling a 'stolen' car there. So I'm not sure exactly what it takes...

Sure that all of this will buff out with a little rubbing compound...

Notice that he's ripped off somebody else too...look at the most recent feedback.

If he actually owns that shop in Eugene, you can file a lien against it which is pretty easy to do.
