I seriously almost threw up reading this. :(
|
Why? Just don't like it?
Moses, you are killing me. I never return from a weekend at the beach unless I've had a gigantic, fresh tuna steak, pan seared rare and served pretty much plain with perhaps a bit of wasabi... |
Ah, Tuna steak is one thing, but canned Tuna is nothing but a smelly pile of garbage in a can.
I for one love Mercury and Hate Dolphins. "I'm not just a Dolphin, I'm a Lawyer!" "OK, so you're a law-fin?" |

I do drink pickle juice though:D |

Moses, does mercury stay in your body or get filtered out eventually?
I love tuna... but tuna water is strictly for the cats. |
My cat won't eat canned tuna unless it is rinsed out first.
 |
hmm, that's way up there at the top of the nasty stuff to eat/drink list.
Right behind the stuff here. http://www.thesneeze.com/mt-archives/cat_steve_dont_eat_it.php |
Mercury builds cumulatively in your system...much like lead. Not good. I believe a watchdog group just released a recommendation for limiting intake to once or twice a week and zero consumption for pregnant women.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1152217703.jpg [ open on manic Spokesman standing before his product, which rests on a table in fronr of him ] Spokesman: How many times has this happened to you? You have a bass, and you're trying to find an exciting new way to prepare it for the dinner table. You could scale the bass, remove the bass' tail, head and bones, and serve the fish as you would any other fish dinner. But why bother, now that you can use Rovco's amazing new kitchen tool, the Super Bass-o-Matic '76. Yes, fish-eaters, the days of troublesome scaling, cutting and gutting are over, because Super Bass-o-Matic '76 is the tool that lets you use the bass with no fish waste, and without scaling, cutting or gutting. Here's how it works: Catch a bass, remove the hook, and drop the bass - that's the whole bass - into the Super Bass-o-Matic '76. [ drops the bass into the blender ] Now, adjust the control dial so that the bass is blended just the way you like it. [ turns blender on and grinds it to a pulp ] Yes, it's that simple! [ cut to Bass-Drinker on another part of the set ] Bass-Drinker: [ drinks a glassful of bass ] Wow, that's terrific bass! [ cut back to Spokesman ] Spokesman: We've got fish here, fast and easy and ready to pour, mmm-mmm! Super Bass-o-Matic '76 comes with ten interchangeable rotors, a nine-month guarantee, and a booklet: 1,001 Ways to Harness Bass. Super Bass-o-Matic '76 works great on sunfish, perch, sole, and other small aquatic creatures. [ blends one of each ] Super Bass-o-Matic '76 - it's clean, simple, and after five or ten fish, it gets to be quite a rush! Super Bass-o-Matic '76 - you'll never have to scale, cut or gut again! I like cartilage and gristle. Like knuckles and the ends of chicken leg bones. No special preparation, just gnaw it off like a dog. I also like chicken kidneys and livers. In fact, I like all liver, whether sliced and fried, or a mound of chopped liver, Jewish deli-style. Tripe has been okay eating, in some dim-sum places, but in small quantities only. Unfortunately, when they find that you like tripe, they like to lavish you with heaping platefuls of the stuff. I like some fish tails, when not too bony and fried up - e.g. trout tails crisp-fried in butter or olive oil. Brussel sprouts - yumm. Drop in boiling water for 30 sec, then remove and immediately plunge in cold water, drain, pat dry. Sprouts should be deep green. Then saute with butter, garlic, shallots, and chopped walnuts. Dust with grated cheese. Cauliflower, prepared similarly. Home-made sashimi. A block of raw ahi, bought from the local Japanese fish market. Sliced thinly, rinsed with sake, and dipped in salted sesame oil. Escargots (snails), very yummy. I tried raising my own garden snails for a while, wasn't a big success. Carrots, boiled in Guiness stout and sugar. I can also live happily for weeks on Top Ramen. One of my more useful skills. But no tuna water! |
John,
Something in you is just not normal.... cannot put my finger on it but its there! :) |
