Oban and Macallans 12 are really great and still within a decent price range.

Thanks guys, the pint lasted all night and I didn't get too rocked(it was excellent BTW). I did however feel rocked when my big slick flopped K74 rainbow and I was facing pocket bulls:( But that's a whole nother story.....

oh, and if you want to sip, stick to Bourbon. Scotch is for real men :D

So does it end in "ette" or "it"? We have conflicting reports:)

Yes! My introduction to single malt was when I was working in Chicago at a Scottish pub on Clark st. My co-worker and I sat at the bar and slurped up some excellent Scottish ale while sampling the Scotch menu.

Scotch and cigars... oh what a slippery slope!

Scotch and cigars - slippery slope indeed. Heavenly. Need about 1-2 hours to devote to do it right though - not something one can rush.

I found a wonderfull Single Barrel Bourbon...aged 10 years...Evan Williams..has a nice sweet taste of corn.

Tabs, I just tried that two weeks ago. Definitely a wild and wooly bourbon, great flavor. Price seems quite fair for a single barrel as well.
