640hp electic mini

This is pretty cool, 3000NM of torque, 640hp, made like F Porsche was designing his in the 1800's, 150mph top speed, 0-60 in 4.5 secs, and a cruising range of +900 miles.

Another real cool thing is the fact that the car wears a 250 cc 2 stroke petrol engine attached with a generator that supplies power to the batteries. As the battery level reduces, the rear mounted engine/generator starts to automatically top up the battery. So when you arrive at your destination you simply park the vehicle knowing that when you return the battery will be replenished!

There is a link on the page to a guy who picks apart its claimed specs here: http://www.dansdata.com/danletters171.htm
It begins to sound like another fast, but short ranged, conversion. Cool though.

(posted before) The http://www.teslamotors.com concept has some proven specs (250mi range) and may be more practical overall. Hope it catches on.
