+1.

That said, what time are we meeting for the drive down to the XXX this Saturday?

I'll be the one driving like a Granny.

Ahh Hell Sammy...1/2 of Oregon is transplanted Californians these days....or even further South. That's not counting the left wing carpetbagger politicians who arrived from the East Coast a few decades ago. We were"Kalifornicated" completely less than a decade after former Governor Tom McCall made that "visit but please don't stay" comment. An Orange County guy would feel at home up here...until the fall/winter/spring/early summer rains arrived.

I live roughly 100 miles South of Portland, so there are a few lightly trafficked back-roads near me. I try to not talk about them too much.

Whoa! Cindy just now told me of a Portland TV channel news had a teaser, something about Ferraris being watched by the cops up around Mt. Hood. Choppers in the air. You'd think these guys would want to head off to Idaho or Nevada or somewhere...Something called a "Ferrari Challenge"? What's this? Anybody know?

Nope...but I know a Ferrari guy who'd love to have my car... All it takes to own a Ferrari is a checkbook...to own & drive an early 911S takes commitment. (edit) Seriously, I wouldn't want a Ferrari...they attract too much attention. (edit again) So much so that last night's TV liberal views at 11 showed a brief bit of footage from a news chopper. This showed a Ferrari passing what looked like a pickup camper on a 4 lane road, using the passing lane. He may have been doing 10 mph more than the pickup. It looked like sane driving to me. But as the scene unfolded, the TV announcer was speaking of a ticket of 123 in a 55 zone. Gotta love our press!

Very sad!! My greatest fear is hurting someone else.

I've never hit a deer or other animal, but I've dodged quite a few. I've never lost control doing it, but it's such a quick decision to be made you really need to consider it ahead of time so you can make the decision quickly.
