Where's the outrage?
Watching the evening news reading Pelican o/t and just wondering, Where's the outrage?
Isn't it becoming obvious to every one that this country is being run by a bunch of self serving bastards. I see the bickering here between left and right suporters but isn't it obvious that every single one of the current incumbants at the very least least should be removed from office, I would like to see a lot of them in jail as well.:( |
Well said Bill, I don't think that either party has done much they can be proud of these last several cycles. A wholesale change would be a step in the right direction.
|
Werd Bill. I'm pretty disapointed in the GOP right about now. Not nearly disappointed enough to vote Democrat though. They are truly pathetic.
The way I see it is there are 100 senators and 435 whatever congressman dividing up $2.5 trillion - and I mean TRILLION dollars. That works out to about four and a half billion per legislator. And it's probably worse than that because some of the crooks have more power than some of the other crooks. That's a lot of scratch. Anyone who isn't influenced by that amount of power is an amazing individual. Is there even one honest politician in Washington? |
As long as there are people who would rather vote for child predators than for the other party, this is the way it's going to be.
We've seen the thing the founding fathers feared most: the trifecta: all three branches of government controlled by one party/ideology. That has resulted in eliminating constitutional protections that our revolutionary heroes died for. And all without 1-10th the news coverage that Paris Hilton draws on a slow day. The old saying: we get the government we deserve -- is true. |
I'm outraged. Send all the incumbants packing.
|
I think that sometimes you need to vote for the person rather than slate voting for a party.
I will vote for Arnold over Phil, as I think Arnold can get more accomplished as long as he doesn't pull any more juevenile appeal to voter stuff. I elect legisaltors to do their job, and I find it appalling that sometimes they will put up ballot measures for our decision. I usually vote no on all ballot measures, as I think most end runs are self serving. |

Your party had control of all three branches for awhile and they raised taxes - a lot. Your party also elected a rapist, a mistress drowner and a grand kleagle or dragon or whatever the hell Bob Byrd was. Where does this "your-party-is-more-degenerate-than my-party" sniping get us? I would vote for a Democrat if the guy was honest and had some decent ideas. I actually voted for Jimmy Carter and he let me down. I'm starting to wonder if it even matters who controls Washington. Both parties are sad and corrupt. I sound like I'm depressing my own vote. |

---- As awful as the current Republican leadership is, the committee chairmen the Democrats have lined up is truly frightening. I just wish we had another choice. |
Anyone that votes based on a party label rather than the particular candidate's merits (or lack thereof) or individual issues is part of the problem, not the solution.
There is no provision for political parties in the Constitution and therefore no basis for them in our government. Abolishing them would solve a lot of the problems. |
If I post outrage, I am an extremist. If I post dissatisfaction with the administration, I have been even referred to as "traitorous". If I don't agree with the left's philosophy, then I am indecisive and not strong in my committments. There are plenty here who show outrage, but for them it is partisan outrage rather than outrage for they way they, as citizens are treated by their government. A President that doesn't listen to any but a chosen few, a Congress that hides its head in the sand, fearful to do anything they consider might harm their chances for re-election, a Justice System that continually votes against the wishes of the public (eminent domain, anyone?).
There is enough to be outraged against. In fact, so much that it becomes overwhelming and one begins to wonder if getting one's blood pressure elevate is worth the effort. So, I calm myself down and remember what one of my heroes has been saying for years: "What, me worry?" |

That's probably applicable. BTW...The "I" in my post was not meant to be personal. It is the "everyman's" "I".
I probably wasn't clear enough...... |

Obama. |

Now THAT would create outrage! Polticians screwing us all as well as staff underlings? No outrage...it's just the way it is. Keep in mind, voting for the lesser of evils is still voting for evil. |

You see it's pretty simple....you just have to choose between a turd sandwich and a giant douche....

Unfortunately we only get two choices ... right now the choices are status quo or change.
I'm voting for change. I hope everyone else does also. |
