Looking to work in the USA

Hi Guys,

I am keen to come over to the US and work. P-Cars are cheaper houses are bigger and interest rates are way lower than here in Australia.

I am an ex-Military Pilot with a Computer Science Degree in Software Engineering and I can organise the Visa (CV available at www.hallys.net)

So any leads would be appreciated.

Steve

Look in Alaska for helo pilot jobs. Now is a good time to look as things will be opening up in 2-3 months when it gets warmer. Same in the Rockies if you want to stay in the flying field.

Joe A

PS Very few people over here know what a CV is. Its called a resume on this side of the pond.

Do you have contacts with any US contractors in the ME? You might some good leads w/folks like KBR (even if they are the antiChrist to some board members)

Peter,

I have some contacts in KBR but they are overseas now. Most of their contracts are outside the country that I know of.

Steve,

Did you instruct at Riyadh Military in the PC? Saw Saudi on your information. I was based there for a while and hangared in the BAE hanger with McDonnell Douglas and Boeing.

PM'd you. I also know some guys who are Chief Pilots at EMS outfits...VERY hard group to break into (and the starting pay is low). I may do it after I retire from the Navy just because I love the challenge, also part time!

SH,

I did it for over 15 years and loved medivac. Yes, it is tough to get into but a good job and rewarding to boot.

Big difference and flying is one thing and flying while saving someone's life is another. I still miss it...

Steve - Come on over, but you'll be leaving God's country. I've stayed in Port Macquarie a few times. Great seafood buffet at the LawnBowling Club on the south end of town....

Yes I spent 4 1/2 years instructing in Riyadh on the PC9, the last 12 months I was writing software for the RSAF.

If you were in the BAe Hanger then we probably crossed paths.

LOL yes you are right it is a beautiful little coastal town, but the pace is a bit slow for me. I'm not ready to retire yet! And when I take the 930 out of the garage people start to talk.

Steve: go to www.S3.com and email me (jholt@s3.com) if interested. I'll shoot your CV around and see if there's interest.

Sure I'll check it out. That would be a great job to tell people at parties about.

the flight simulator job sounds like a hell of a good time. the solutions we develop are much more mundane, although unique. but hell, the developers go to hooters at least 1 time every two weeks for a wings and pitcher lunch. good group.
