eBay Etiquette - when do you post feedback?

And I'm loath to post negative feedback at all, preferring just to stay silent if/when a transaction doesn't work out well or a buyer doesn't complete a deal . Not worth the pain to me of negative feedback.

Posting negative feedback is tricky business. They can mess up your profile by returning the favor. Best to let it lie, unless it's a fraud picked up by a lot of buyers. Had that happen in watches.
Never buy an expensive watch on ebay--at least without paypal, which protects fraud up to $1000. They credit you quickly with obvious fraud which has affected other buyers as well.Ebay does nothing. I would never buy anything there without paypal, which protects the purchase--and it's free to the buyer.
