Pickup '95-96 urS6 Audi. They are hovering around 12K and simply fantastic all weather cars. Very dependable and FAST. They are superior in snow to most of the all wheel drivers out there. The highway mileage is mid twenties and around town 20.
The thing that sets the Audis from Subraus are the comfortable seats. Audi seats are superlative. Long distance commutes will kill your back in Subaru seats. YMMV
