Better for me to buy a box of Villager or Ashton half-corona and hope that I can limit myself to one.

A. Fuente and Macanudo Maduros are the best of this type that I found so far.
Open to suggestions for small cigars...
I was able to keep a tin of Macanudos in the bottom of my humidor for nearly a year.

They shriveled up and and gained a vein-like ribbing and turned a golden yellow ocher color.

The best thing is they tasted way better than fresh from the store.

I've listed a few affordable small cigars already, and they all can complete with the big boys in flavor if aged in a humidor for a few months in my opinion. And best thing is I can still function after smoking them and don't feel like a lazy wreck.

(newby here but only a cheap-cigar aficionado after quitting cigarettes a while ago.)

Macanudo Courts or Ashton Half Corona are smaller, in the $4 range, and are mellow smokes.
(thx George btw.)

Oliva makes a decent $6-8 smoke and is also naturally sweet. Also a favorite.
Quarum and Master are usually ok in that price range but a little harsher.
Storage conditions may vary I guess.

The larger cigars are too much time and especially the artificial vanilla crap just give me a headache.

Punch Gran Cru and Diablo, Romeo y Julieta 1875, CAO MX2 are some of my favorites that come to mind.

I just rediscovered one of those fat short NUB's (a Connecticut) and the cigar store raises the price of them on me.

They did that with the little Arturo Fuente Perfectos too a few years back.

I think the manager follows me around and says; Let's mess with George.

I used to smoke cigars but now I just suck on polo mints.

Funny to see my 12 year old post, still love both of these but would have to say that my current fave is La Gloria Cubana Medaille D'or no. 4

Top shelf of my humidor circa Feb '19:
