What were these movies??
This isn't the kinda of thing you and easily google.... I don't recall the name of these old movies that I have seen parts of on TV at one time or another... should be a fun challenge at least.
I'll describe, you tell me the name. I won't tell you if you're right until they make it to the top of the Netflix queue and I actually find time to watch them 1. Movie opens with some guys working in an ICBM silo in the midwest somewhere. That's all I recall...saw it last in 2001(?) and never saw the whole thing. 2. Movie deals with some advertising agency that has figured out how to monitor how people watch the screen during a commercial to get the maximum impact. Saw it in the 80's on TV. Have fun, thanks!

1 sounds like War Games with Matthew Broderick and John Lithgow. Pretty cool movie.

John Lithgow wasnt in WarGames. Dabney Coleman
He WAS in the Manhattan Project, which is also a good movie about a kid who builds a nuclear bomb to win a science fair I think the move you are referring to is called Agency. has Robert Mitchum and Lee Majors in it

#2 was "Looker" -- a Michael Chrichton story whose highlight was a nude body scan of Susan Dey.

Any chance #2 was "Max Headroom?" It had the same thing...
Problem was that the sent adverts to the viewer audience so fast that they could not see them but their minds could, so they could bombard them trying to sell things. They were called "blipverts" and eventually overloaded some people, killing them... Edit, it was a British movie that was then turned into a one season run program here in the states, as well as a Coke commercial.

First movie was not War Games, seen that a million times...second movie was definitely not Max Headroom....I think it may have been older than MH. I have all the MH TV episodes on tape since the 80's except the rakeboards ep. I need to watch those again, it's been nearly 20 years.... jeez.
