My condolences to all of you. What handsome dogs!

Your dog has the same look on his face when my Rhodie, Tucker, is used as a pillow by one of our cats. Sort of embarrassed. But only embarrassed because the likes them and he's not "supposed" to and got caught.

I agree with the above poster; get another dog asap even if you think it's too soon.

He was 15 1/2. Not bad for a large lab.
We just picked an application to adopt a rejected companion dog.
Can't wait.

I had to put down our Springer Spaniel Casey a few years ago after 14 years of joy and happiness. I consider my self as a tough guy ( emotionally ) and I cried like a baby as she went to sleep in my arms. I talked to my brother the other day and his 13 year old yellow lab has kidney cancer and the end is near. Unfortunately it's part of life and you will always have memories. I agree with others get another as soon as you can, not as a replacement but just the next stage of happiness. Good luck.

Loosing a pet is like loosing one of your family. It's never easy and they will never be forgotten! I think we will see our pets again in heaven!
